He was walking, talking to himself. Candy stopped. His heart raced. All the times he'd had with the one girl he loved. Emma. Memories came back to him. Good memories? No. Bad ones. Terrible ones. So many...
"It was the night the lightning hit the barn," he quietly spoke to himself. "it was a terrible night. I kept shouting her name but... SHE NEVER ANSWERED ME! WHY DIDN'T SHE ANSWER ME?!"
"Emma?! I shouted. She didn't answer. I shouted her name once more. She didn't answer. EMMA?!..." Several tears were now brushing his fur as he spoke. You could even see the image in his eyes. What an unpleasant image. Fire. Broken beams. More importantly... Emma.
